Business Profile

The Three Bishops pub in Brighstone is a beautiful, classic English country pub in the heart of an especially scenic part of the Isle of Wight. The atmosphere here is relaxed, friendly and in tune with the stunning surroundings of the island and the village. Brighstone itself has a picture postcard feel with thatched cottages, and quirky features around the village including smugglers lairs marked by secret anchors on the sides of some of the older buildings. The church dates back to the Doomsday Book, and the pub name commemorates three priests from the parish who later went on to become bishops. One of these was Samuel Wilberforce, the son of famous anti-slavery leader William, who has a road named after him in the village.
